We all know that there are simply so many types of batteries in the market, but have you heard of batteries which are made from high temperature liquid metals? Well if you haven’t, it seems that this particular technology is already being used for grid-scale energy storage solutions, and these are large-scale batteries. Nevertheless, such liquid metal batteries aren’t intended for consumer usages, but apparently MIT has embarked on a joint venture with a prominent oil company from France to develop a smaller size battery, which can be used at home or office buildings.
