Tom’s Hardware forum member tecmo34 has struck again! Not only does he provide useful info on what PC parts to get on a budget (something also done well by the TH staff), he wrote what’s probably the best step-by-step guide to building a PC from scratch.
Unlike other PC-building guides that are borderline, tecmo34’s guide fleshes out the details of each step. It’s a bit wordy, but only because it covers all bases. Large images capture each step, ensuring you understand everything as a looker and a reader. There are even pictures of the various cable ports you’re expected to plug in as you put your dream PC together.
At the end of the guide, which has enjoyed input from other knowledgeable members like jsc, tecmo34 simply says “Thanks for taking the time to read through my step-by-step guide!” No tecmo34, thank you!
