AMD has disclosed that they will not step into the netbook market, as the company’s head shy away from the attention that the Atom processor was getting. Nevertheless, AMD’s entire direction was changed when the company disclosed their congo-based netbooks in June – I bet that AMD has finally seen the potential in selling these cheapo processors, don’t you think?
Of course, the AMD Congo-based netbooks will feature the ultra-thin platform and I’m sure that netbook manufacturers will be able to manufacture very thin netbooks in the near future, using these processors from AMD.
